Hi, Well I'm testing a new chat. It probly won't last but it could be fun.
Hello and Happy New Year Well the new year is now upon us, I have been so busy I haven't had time to update at all. I did want to just let everyone know I'm still an active website. Err well sort of. If I can get more time away from the real world job I would put more on here. But alas work has my every waking moment. On a good note I will have some fish in about a month, I don't know if I will get the chance to post in the stock shop but with cold weather upon us I have stopped shipping till warmer weather.
I finally got a chance to update the website, so here it is. I have been asked when the stock shop will open again, so I can say that in a few weeks there will be new stock available. I jarred up 100 fry this week and have another 150 to go into jars soon as I get the time to do it. So the end result is there should be new fry available in three weeks. I will start to post fish as soon as they are ready to go.
Well I finally got a few fish up on the stock shop. These fish are all pure platinum X platinum. They are F8 and carry DT, PK, and the obvious the copper gene. I will soon be posting some NR females as well, there are not many NR males in the batch as I had hoped for. I will be out crossing this bunch of fry next time out. Most are moderately priced and should be a fine starter fish for those wishing to begin with whites. My paypal is active but I haven't turned on the cart yet. If you wish to order simply click a paypal logo and state the fish item number and price. I will ship in two days from receipt.
I was about to post this weekend, but you got to love it, my job is now sending me away for a week. Never rains but it pours. I have to get fish ready to send to the show also so its gonna be a job to get it all done. I fly out on Sunday 13th. Oh well soon as I get back my friends. The fish will start to list..
Well your probably wondering "where's the fish" well still in the jars. I just haven't had time to offer any on the site. Taking pictures and waiting for the right flair is a battle in itself. Sometimes the fish won't cooperate and you take many pictures to get just one that does the fish justice. These fellow and girls are just a little small yet, they seem to be a little slow to mature or at least size up to where I want them before I list them. But rest assured there are lots of fish soon to be going into the stock shop. There will be lots of NR's and some nice looking marbles. I might have a few coppers also but not to many of them. Right now my camera batteries are so dead the light wont come on. On to the charger today. I need to clean up the display tanks and get them ready also. These fish will be listed at rock bottom prices because shipping will cost us all more these next weeks as the good old USPS hikes there costs again. Anyway keep the faith and your patience fish will be coming very soon.
Well today the hard part starts, I am beginning the jarring process, it looks like close to 400 jars to be done. I am going to do a sterilization of everything again just for my annual smack down on problems, like parasites and any other trouble thing that can raise there ugly faces at a moments notice. I'm sure we have all seen that one happen. Ya Gotta love when that happens. So twice a year its soap and bleach time. This weekend is it , plus the jarring kind of goes hand and hand because all them jars need a good cleaning after sitting around for a while even though they are put away clean. A few peeps have have asked so I'm gonna put a few pictures of the fish room up for you to see. Some of you may have already seen it but for those that haven't there will be some pictures. This is a new fish room only six months old now. Remember the move that almost killed me. LOL Ok so this is a short one again, but I got fish to jar and jars to clean.. So off to the fish room !!
Welcome again, I see that you are still dropping by and I appreciate it. I have added a few new pictures, just a few of the new spawns that are rapidly growing up. I should be listing some new young breeders soon as they get ready to go. I will be offering a few of the non red's that I have gotten. There seems to be quite a few of them that are visually showing platinum, some appear as though they will be pastel blue or Opaque, either will be fine for me to work with. I am really anxious to see how these mature out. They are coming along fine and if I judged the genetics right I should have a good percentage of them carrying the gene that I want. There will be some nice marbles this spawn as well. I spawned a pair just for you! So many requests for marbles made me decide to do just one spawn. These should be the usual blue and greens with a nice copper metallic sheen to them. There is a picture of the fry in the gallery. Sorry so few pictures but work is slaying me. Till next time. Well here we are the new year upon us, HAPPY NEW YEAR lets make those new resolutions, mine is to get some fish up on the site for sale, I have started my spring spawns three days ago, so should in a few months have some for listing. I am also going to clean up the spawn room and get some of the females that I have been hording available too. This is the start or second phase of my NR/Platinum X Platinum seeking some NR carriers to mix into the line, I hope it works. LOL Well everyone have a great year and breed some betta bettas.
MERRY CHRISTMAS Well I finally got moved and setup again, well almost. So much to do when your moving lots of tanks and barracks. Water is different and fish are not so used to this treatment. I am traveling this month right on up to Christmas. So I still have lots to do but I won't be around to do it. Thankfully my better half has pity and helps with the fish when I travel. I lost quite a few fish in the move and am still losing a few from after shock. I will catch up on posts here shortly. Thanks for your patience.
I'm still here and alive, LOL sorry about the lack of updates, just too busy with work and personal things, too many fry . I am going to be moving in the next few weeks and that will really slow me down, in the long run it may give me some more time to update the site once it all settles down. Sorry for the lack of updates but they will be coming. It might be a while before I put some stock up on the stock shop but I assure you they will be coming. Thanks for your patience.
Wow here it is already halfway to Sept. The shows are starting in a few weeks and kids are going back to school. For us northern folks that means cold weather and snow again. It certainly got here fast. I have my spawns still growing and doing fine. And am contemplating a few more spawns. Maybe in a few weeks. Short entry today, just felt I should update a little. Summer is here finally, and I am still plodding along with updates to the site. I never imagined how much work it was to make a site. My day job keeps me pretty busy. And I don't have the free time I need to really work on the site. Hope everyone is having a great breeding season. I have three new crosses going right now. A yellow x platinum mix , a royal blue Pk cross with platinum and a platinum x platinum. Each of these crosses have a unique purpose in manipulating color. I have high hopes for the fry.
